#7382. Circa 1980. In Canada and Europe an exclusive series of basic Barbie dolls came dressed in variety of fashions – fashions that in the US were sold only as separates (not on dolls). These rare dolls wear the dress but not the accessories that would have been included with the separated packaged Fashion (ie purse or shoes).

Each doll, regardless of the fashion, had the same product code number (#7382).

These dolls are extremely hard to find “never removed from box”.

It is interesting to note that in 1978 a similar product was produced for Japan.

The doll pictured here is wearing the dress from “Princess Barbie” which was sold as boxed doll in 1980.  This is one of the few examples of the series that a doll is wearing a fashion that wasn’t sold as a boxed separate. (Very similar in design to the first Dolls of the World England Barbie fashion.)
